Engr Laide Joins Kwara FA Chairmanship Race, Vows To Develop Football

The Chairman /Chief Executive Officer of Cyteck Engneering Construction and Technology Limited, Engineer Ahmed Abdullateef Olaide has officially joined the race to occupy the Usman Mustapha Football House, Ilorin.

The Ilorin born Engineer, who is also the Chairman of Nigeria Nationwide league One Side Barrier Sports Club, picked up his intent form to contest as the Chairman of Kwara State Football Association earlier on Thursday.

The Football Philanthropist who was in the midst of friends and Football enthusiasts at the Kwara Football House this afternoon promised if elected, to change the face of football in the State.

He added that he will give special attention to the discovery of more talents across the 16 local governments of the State and create an ecosystem that will catapult them into international scene within a short span.

Engr. Olaide explained that the Kwara FA needs a better hand to take it to greater heights and he is ready and willing to do so.

“The basis of football is about grassroots development with good infrastructure and value that will encourage Corporate organisations to finance it. I have a robust plan to develop the football in our State and we will ensure that we raise the bar of the game in all fronts ,”

“I have designed a 4-year football development plan which will be made public immediately we flag off our campaign activities by June 4. If elected, this plan will be implemented to achieve the desired objectives that will transform our football.

“We will also work hand in hand with all the stakeholders to make sure that we implement the plans for the benefit of our football ,” he added.

The election for Kwara Football Association office is scheduled to hold on 13th June in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State
