Enyimba FC have been crowned champions of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier League.
The People’s Elephants played out a 1-1 draw with Rivers United in the final day of the championship playoff at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos.
They finished with Nine points tie on same points with both Remo Stars and Rivers United but edge the duo on a better goal difference to clinch the title and a spot in Next years CAF champions league.
Remo Stars secure qualification for the second CAF champions league slot after they finish second with a better goal difference ahead of Rivers United who picked the only available CAF confederation cup slot.
It is a record nineth title for Enyimba FC as they futher established themselves as the most successful club in Nigeria’s history.
