Everton Football Club has secured the signing of Nigerian international forward Toni Payne, bolstering their women’s team with a talented addition.
Payne, 29, joins the Toffees after a six-year spell with Sevilla in Spain, where she honed her skills playing across the front line.
The Nigerian forward expressed her delight at joining Everton, stating, “Playing in the UK and the WSL has always been my dream.”
Payne also praised the Club’s rich history and her desire for a new challenge.
With 21 caps for Nigeria, Payne praised the league’s growth and investment, saying, “I’m excited to be part of it.”
Payne’s signing marks the first addition to Everton women’s team this summer.
