The 2024 Evolution Cup has advanced into the semi finals with Star Builders, Magic Stars, Beyond Limits and Rolly FC confirming their place in the last four.
Thursday’s fixtures took a twist with teams having to play two matches to meet up with the tournament’s schedule.
SGFC Athletics defeated Offa FC and Mallam FC 3-1 and 2-0 respectively to finish third in group A behind Star Builders who finished in second with a better goals difference after their 5-0 humiliating of Offa FC.
Beyond Limits secured their place in the Evolution Cup semifinal for the second time after their goalless draw against Abraysports FC before edging Hammola FC 1-0 to join Group B leaders Magic Stars FC.
Rolly FC filed out against Beyond Limits in the first semifinal match on Friday, it will be a battle the ‘stars’ when Star Builders FC looks to outshine Magic Stars in the second semifinals with the winner of both semifinal clash meeting in Saturday’s final to determine who emerges winners of this year’s Evolution Cup tournament.
