Former Golden Eaglet star, Festus Odini is expected to grace the 11th edition of the Prince Gas Cup final billed for December 1 at the Igando Field.
Eva Increasing and Folasheun who beat Jamaica FC 2-1 and
Newton G 3-1 respectively in the semi-finals will battle it out for the trophy on Sunday.
Jamaica will host Newton G in the loser’s final on Friday, 29th of November.
Sponsor and Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Prince Gas Cup, Gbadamosi Adebola Sulaimon hinted: “Congratulations to the finalists and other teams that took part in the tourney as they all deserve to be in the final as they gave good account of themselves but nevertheless we can only have two teams.
Fans should expect a thriller as Japan 1993 star, Odini has agreed to grace the game.
The finalist should expect fair officiating from the referees and the two and 3rd placed team will get their cash rewards. Outstanding players and coaches too will take home
individual awards.”
Aje Utd Lekan Ayinde is still top scorer of the grassroot football tourney with 6 goals.
Meanwhile in the U-15 category, Peerless FC will host Future Stars in the final on Sunday while FC Adebayo
Memud Hahmed is top goals scorer with seven goals.
However, guest expected to add colour to the event are Raheem Olasukanmi (Rolag) a Bet9ja Super Agent, Dr. Oluwasegun Oyeleye (M.D. Crystal Star Group of Schools) and Chief Iyk Madu Obi, CEO of Evergreen Group Limited.
