Team coordinator of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS ILORIN FC) Malam Olasunkanmi Mallick has expressed optimism that his team has what it takes to knockout Bendel Insurance from this year Federation cup.
ABS FC will take on NPFL high-flying Bendel Insurance of Benin in the Federations Cup round of 64 on Wednesday 26th April 2023 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
“Bendel Insurance are having the season of their life they’ve been amazing and are currently unbeaten but that doesn’t mean they are not beatable”, Mallam Mallick told Owosports.com.ng.
“We are the underdogs but we will give our best to go to the next round and I believe in our players and what they can offer”, He concluded.
Bendel Insurance are yet to lose a game in the on-going Nigeria Premier Football League and are currently top of the abridged Group A table.
ABS FC have lost two games so far against EFCC and Mighty Jet in the Nigeria National League (NNL) this season.
