Eteng Victor Arikpo, a former Flying Eagles midfielder has vowed to help Plateau United challenge for all the trophies in the Nigerian domestic league.
Arikpo, who was in blistering form in 2019 as he helped Nigeria win two silver medals at the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) B U-20 tourney in Togo and the men’s football event of the 12th African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
Recall his good form earned him a place in the 30-man provisional roster for the 2019 FIFA World Youth Championship (WYC) in Germany.
The midfielder who completed his move to Plateau Utd and earned his debut in the 1-0 defeat to Niger Tornadoes, says his focus is to help the former NPFL champions achieve its set target for the season.
“Not the debut I had wished for after we conceded early in the game, but as the game went on our confidence grew as we stepped up our game searching for the equalizing goal,” said Arikpo.
” We have learnt one it two things from the game and have moved on to prepare well for the game against Kwara United on Boxing Day in Jos.
“It’s going to be a massive one and another real test for the team. We are not under pressure as the target is to win the game and claim our first 3points for the season.”
