Former Super Eagles Midfielder Seyi Olofinjana Thumbs Up Evolution Cup 





Former Super Eagles and Hull City Midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has hailed the organisers of Evolution Cup describing it as one of the best organised scouting tournament in the country.

The veteran Midfielder cum now Football Administrator and Chairman of Imperial Football Club which is one of the teams participating in the tournament is impressed with the organisation of the tourney which began on Monday 12th through to 18th February 2024.


He appreciated the organisers who listed the club amongst other club’s to showcase their talents to top scouts who are on ground to discover future stars.

“Thank you for the invite we are so grateful to be part of this, it’s a very carefully selected group and for us to be counted worthy to be part of this it’s a kudos to how far we’ve come and we are so grateful.


The tournament give us an opportunity to showcase our best talents as we all do. It been a few that keeps happening in the country almost on a yearly basis now so the scouts are there the opportunity is there we are so grateful.


This looks a bit well organized than so many we’ve been and we are so grateful to the organiser, the brain behind all this is Olatoye that I know very well and I know he doesn’t do mediocrity anything that he does is with a touch of gold so I am proud of that’ He affirmed.

Imperial FC began the tourney with a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Beyond Limits and will next take on Hammola FC in their next game.

Seyi Olofijana earned 48 caps for Nigerian senior National team which spans across 2000 – 2010, he also featured for top European club including, Hull City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Shelfid Wednesday and the likes.
