Taiye Yusuf, a former striker of Unicorns FC Ilorin, has celebrated a triumphant moment in Greece as Olympiacos U19 clinched the league title.
The team secured the championship with a 2-1 win over Panetolikos U19 on Sunday, finishing with a game to spare.
Yusuf, who contributed to 18 goals and assists (10 goals, 8 assists) in 33 games, attributed his success to divine intervention.
“It’s Allah who made this journey possible for me,” he said.
The Nigerian forward praised teammate Argyris Liatsikouras for helping him settle in Greece quickly.
Looking ahead, Yusuf expressed optimism for the 2025/2026 season, vowing to improve his goal-scoring ability to further aid his team.
