Ghanaian player Christian Atsu has been rescued from rubble 26 hours after being left there due to an earthquake that strikes in the early hours of Monday morning in Turkey.
Citizens in Turkey, Syria, and some parts of Lebanon were left in disarray and agony after the deadly earthquake strikes early which left many dead and hundreds of others injured.
The 31-year-old former premier league star scored a stoppage-time winning goal for his club Hatayspor on Sunday and only to be declared missing a few hours later following the disaster that hit the country which has since left other Turkish Super Lig matches postponed.
He has now been reported to be found alive and taken to the hospital to the delight of the Ghanaian people and football lovers across the globe.
His former clubs like Chelsea, Newcastle United and Bournemouth all in England have all shown their support for the player on their Twitter accounts.
He moved to Turkey from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Read last summer with his only goal for his club being the winner last Sunday.
