…Inaugurate Elected Local Council Chairmen
The Gombe State Football Association has announced that it will hold its elective congress on the 10th of June 2023.
The announcement was made during its general assembly held at the FA’s office at the Pantami Stadium complex on Tuesday 11th April, 2023.
Football stakeholders, affiliated bodies, the FA where in attendance at the congress including, (Coaches Association, Referees Association, NPFL Clubs Association, Nationwide League Forum, State League Forum, etc).
The FA Chairman Filibus Yakubu Sarma thanked all football stakeholders in the states for their supports
Just before the commencement of the Congress the newly elected Local Football Council executives were inaugurated and presented with their certificates.
The Chairman however charged the newly elected members to be good ambassadors and come up with new innovations that will help in developing football in the state and promised to support whatever program they come up with.
“They as grass root football administrators should ensure they develop the game at the grassroots, devoid of controversies they should carry everybody along, come up with programs and plans that would ensure football reach the next pick in Gombe state” He said.
Alh. Ibrahim Gimba, who was the Chairman electoral committee of the council elections, thanked the FA for the opportunity and advises the new executives to take advantage of their election to develop football from the grassroot as their tenure expires in the next 2 years.
The Congress proposed the 10th June, 2023 as the new date for the elective congress in Kaltungo LGA
