Kwara United Technical Adviser Abdullahi Biffo has backed Stephen Jude to break more grounds in the new NPFL season.
Stephen netted brace on Sunday as the Harmony Boys thumped Dakkada FC 3 nil at the Kwara Stadium Complex.
The attacking midfielder emerged the toast of NPFL top clubs last season after his exploits- scoring ten goals in total and earning himself a call up to the home based Super Eagles.
However, It was speculated that the young midfielder was approached by Enyimba of Aba after the end of the season, but the coach said keeping him wasn’t really difficult for the team despite the approach from top teams.
Kwara United retained about 90% of their former players- a narrative that’s quite unusual of Nigerian clubs .
“It’s not really difficult because it’s a player we brought from no where , his loyalty is with Kwara United. He knows how we stood by him and how we encouraged him to be where he is now” Biffo said after the game against Dakkada.
The gaffer expressed his delight about Jude’s goals, adding that the club will not deter his progress as he said “Even though he wants to move we will not stop him”
Kwara United will face Plateau United away from home in their next game.
