World number one Iga Swiatek cruised through to the next round of the French Open with a convincing win over Anastasia Potapova. The Polish tennis star won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, in a match that lasted less than an hour.
Swiatek’s victory came on the heels of her previous win against Bouzková in the third round. The 23-year-old is now one step closer to claiming her fourth French Open title, having previously won the tournament in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
As the top-ranked player in women’s singles, Swiatek is a force to be reckoned with on the court. Her dominance over Potapova puts her ahead as a contender and favourite for this year’s crown.
