African Cup of Nations (AFCON) highest goal scorer Odion Jude Ighalo’s loan at Manchester United has been extended till January 31th, 2021 winter window.
Ighalo’s parent club Chinese Super league side Shanghai Greenland Shenhua and Manchester United reached an agreement on Monday morning 1st of June, 2020 to extend the loan deal of gangling goal scorer till January 31st, 2021.
The Ajegunle born striker loan move was to due to end on the 31st of May, but due to suspension of all football activities across the world due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Former Watford hitman had enjoyed a blistering start to his stay at Old Trafford with four goals in eight games, most especially in the last three appearances which has seen him as one of the favourite players at Old Trafford.
The soon to be 31-year-old Ighalo was on target against Club Brugge in an Europa cup tie, scored a brace against Derby County in an FA Cup fixture and netted a screamer against LASK.
