Nigeria’s Kelecho Iheanacho was on target for Leicester City in their FA Cup 3rd round victory away at Gillingham Fc.

The 26 years old has not been a regular starter for Brendan Rodgers’s side this season but was named in the starting eleven for the match.

The former Manchester City striker gave the Premier League side the lead in the 56th minute following an assist from Jamie Vardy, to calm down any likely upset from the home team.

The victory ensured Leicester City advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup and was a step closer to winning the trophy they last won in 2021 beating Chelsea in the final.

The former Nigeria U-17 star played the entirety of the match while his countryman Ndidi was introduced in the 81st in place of Nampalys Mendy.

The Next fixture for the 2016 Premier League Champions is the EFL Cup quarter-final away at Newcastle United on Tuesday 10th of January, 2023.
