Head coach of Nigeria’s U-18 Men’s Hand Ball team Emeka Nnamani has announced his final list ahead of the 2023 International Handball Federation Intercontinental Trophy slated to hold later this Month in Costa Rica, Owosports.com.ng gathered.
The Male handball team has been having their camping at the Rowe Park Sports Center in Lagos.
Majority of the players were players that made up the team that participated in the just concluded Africa Zone 3 tournament in Ivory Coast and the continental tournament in Congo Brazzaville.
Nigeria, who are the African champions in the under-18 male categories, are participating in the championship for the second time in history after they finished second in the 2019 edition which was held in Pristina, Kosovo with Nigeria losing slimly to Chinese Taipei 27-26 in the final.
The Coach Emeka Nnamani tutored side will be playing in a round-robin competition against the likes of Georgia, Guadaloupe, Nicaragua and Tahiti with the first match to be played on March 8, 2023, against Nicaragua.
The Nigerian side is expected to depart for the Costa Rica venue of the championship on Sunday.
