Nigeria Premier Football League newcomers, Ikorodu City Football Club has confirmed the departure of their Head Coach Bright Ozebagbe, owosports.com.ng reports.
In a statement released by the club, Ozebagbe’s resignation was received, following the team’s 1-0 loss to Plateau United in Jos on Sunday.
“Ikorodu City Football Club can confirm the resignation of Bright Ozebagbe as Head Coach of the team,” the statement read. “The club received Ozebagbe’s letter of resignation last night.”
The club has assured fans that a replacement will be announced in the coming days.
“The club will announce a new coach in the coming days,” the statement concluded.
Ozebagbe’s departure marks the end of his tenure as Head Coach of Ikorodu City, and the club will now begin its search for a suitable replacement to steer the team forward.
Ikorodu City currently sits at the bottom of the NPFL log standing with just one point from five league games so far.
