Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Ikorodu City FC have announced Sadiq Dabiri as the club’s new manager and Bright Ozebagbe as head of its technical crew, reports OwoSports.com.ng.
With experience working with First Bank, Shooting Stars and a CAF C license, Sadiq Dabiri, who served as the club’s assistant coach under Abiodun Obafemi during the 2022 NNL season, accepted the managerial position at Ikorodu City.
Ikorodu City expressed their excitement to welcome Sadiq Dabiri and Bright Ozebagbe in a statement posted on the club’s official website on Monday afternoon.
“Ikorodu City Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of former Shooting Stars Coach, Sodiq Dabiri and Bright Ozebagbe from Barcelona Academy to head its technical crew.
“Sodiq Dabiri, has been appointed as the Club Manager while Bright Ozebagbe becomes the Chief Coach of the club after the club regarded them as perfect fit to suit the club’s traditions and vision,” the statement reads.
Along with holding a CAF C license, Bright has previously held positions as an Elite Coach and Coordinator with Union Bank, Staruf FC Lagos, Pepsi Academy, and most recently Barcelona Academy, Lagos. For the 2020–21 season, he served as Bulmaro FC’s head coach in the Nationwide League One.
The team’s technical crew will be led by both coaches as the club works to achieve promotion to the top division in the upcoming season.
