Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu “The Working One” decided to implement the mission statement, adopted by FIFA ” Develop the game” by introducing the “Fidelis Ilechukwu U’13 Football Competition, to allow football to be discovered by as many people as possible which is the best way to attract new players to football and give them access to the game in their own community.
Camara, the “Working One” said, “Organizing this football competition is a way of showing love, giving back to the people and at the same time developing the game, according to FIFA standard.
” This is the second edition, which is better than the maiden edition in terms of organization and level of play with eight participating teams. Our objectives was Smart enough, Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and would definitely will be Time bound.
“We hope to open more channels of partnerships and links, to ensure continuity for this competition, we want to monitor, nurture and groom exceptional talents from disadvantaged areas, making sure underdeveloped areas also receive support and appropriate attention.
” Another concept of this competition is to bring together as many people as possible using football, also advocates exchanges and sharing human values to promote the pleasure of practising our wonderful sport.
He concluded ” Eight teams participated and the best two team Living Legends of Evans and Mighty Stars of Iwaya have qualified for the finals coming up on Saturday, 4th January, 2020 at the Abete Playing Ground, Iwaya. This competion is an essential tool for social integration, an excellent means of expression without discrimination, as this is football for everyone, by everyone that will yield positive fruits to the glory of God.
