The organisers of the popular fitness walk also known as ‘Ilorin mega walk to live’ has revealed the date for the second edition of the event.
Unveiling the event schedules and itinerary on Thursday, the brain behind the project, who is also the CEO of Exercise is Medicine initiative, Instructor Akorede Kehinde said this year’s edition will be colourful and better all expectations.
“We have concluded plans to hold the second edition of the ‘Ilorin mega walk to live’ event on Saturday, 3rd of December with the theme ‘Step to greatness” Akorede told newsmen in Ilorin.
With a set target of 10,000 steps, the walk to live event and its towering status is tailored towards achieving a healthy lifestyle for participants through a deliberate and strategic fitness activities.
“It’s going to be another dimension this time around. Our main target is to achieve 10,000 steps through the designated areas we have lined up to cover with the walk”. Noted the fitness instructor who said the registration for the exercise is free.
He added that the fitness walk, which will begin at the Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin at 6:30 am in the morning will take participants through major areas of the Ilorin metropolis which includes Unity Junction, Challenge, Post Office and back to the Stadium for aerobics exercise.
Akorede stressed that the initiative, which is open to all people of ages will again attract top personalities within and outside having testified to the efficiency and efficacy of the first edition of the event which held in 2021.
