Naija Ratels will compete in the 2021/2022 Nigeria Women top division football League season after they played out a 1-1 draw with Adamawa Queens to emerge as champions of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football (NWFL) championship title at Aguiyi Ironsi Sports Complex, Abuja, on Tuesday, Owosports.com.ng reports.
Both sides ended the 2021 NWFL Championship undefeated but Naija Ratels FC finished top of the table with ten points from four games, two points ahead of Adamawa Queens.
Naija Ratels kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Heartland Queens FC followed by 4-0 wins against Kwara Ladies and Gallant Queens.
Adamawa Queens on their part defeated Gallant Queens 2-0, Kwara Ladies 3-0 before playing out a goalless draw with Heartland Queens FC.
Both Naija Ratels FC and Adamawa Queens gained promotion to the NWFL Premiership for next season.
