Portuguese forward Joao Felix has agreed to join Chelsea on a loan deal till July 2023 and with no permanent agreement to buy the player at the end of the season according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Athletico Madrid of Spain player will move for a fee to be around £11m in a six-month deal with Chelsea accepting to cover the full payment of his salary.
The 23-year-old has been reported to be unsettled under manager Diego Simeone and has been limited to few appearances this season.
The Portuguese will extend his contract with Athletico Madrid till 2027 before leaving and will be in London in the next hours for his medicals according to Fabrizio Romano.
The former Benfica forward has scored 4 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Madrid-based club this season.
He will be the fourth signing for Chelsea in this January transfer window after Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, and Brazilian teenager Andrey Santos.
