Kada Queens of Kaduna defeated Mombasa Hockey club of Kenya 1-0 to emerge bronze medals at the just concluded Africa Cup for Club Championship (ACCC) in Egypt.
The only goal that separated the 2 sides came just 3 minutes before the final whistle as Queen Esther rounded Mombasa goalkeeper to put the Nigeria representative ahead.
Ndala Abdullahi led team began the tournament on a poor note as they were beaten 4-1 by Ghana Revenue Authority.
The Kaduna based team were resilient in their remaining matches having won other opponents to claim second spot in pool A.
The competition started on January 30th with 5 clubs representing Nigeria from the men and women category which are Kada Stars, Niger Flickers, Kada Queens, Plateau Queens and Delta Queens.
