Kwara Football Academy (KFA) has successfully completed the registration of 33 players for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Youth League Cup season. The squad includes 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 10 midfielders, and 11 forwards, all cleared ahead of the Saturday, September 28 registration deadline set by the league organizers.
The Dragons will compete in the South-West Conference this season, with the campaign kicking off on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Their opening fixture will be an away tie against Eagle Stars FC of Ikorodu at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.
Last season, KFA featured in the Northern Conference, where they finished 5th at the end of the regular season. The shift to the South-West zone presents a fresh challenge for the young Dragons.
Speaking on the team’s readiness, Coach Sam Elijah, Technical Director of the Academy, expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation. He emphasized that the Nigeria Youth League Cup provides one of the best platforms for young players to grow, highlighting the exposure available through Wyscout.
“We are prepared for the season. The league gives our boys the opportunity to develop and to be scouted. I believe they will showcase their talent and make us proud”, Elijah said.
