In an effort to make the forthcoming 7th kwara state sports festival which will feature 31 sports event momerable and eventful.
The Main Organising Commitee of the Festival Game paid courtesy visit to Ekiti, Oke Ero and Isin Local Areas of Kwara State with torch of unity.
The voyage is aimed at intimating them about the activities involved in the event, seek thier supports and cooperation towards making it successful.
In his Address during the visitation, The Vice Chairman of the MOC Members for the event, Mr Hameed Adio reinstated the Kwara State Government’s Commitment to divert the attentions of youth from anti- social activities to productive ventures through the reintroduction of the event after fifteen years break.
He said the presentation of “Torch of Unity” to host Local Goverments has indicated harmonious relationship among sixteen local Government Areas of the state and urged them to be part of the success story.
Mr Adio sought the supports and the active participation of the local Governments in the event which commences on 25th of this month.
While commending the warm reception by the local Governments, the Vice Chairman called
on parents in the visited local governments to make their children available for selection during the festival Games.
In their Remarks, the Directors Personal management, of the host local government councils appreciated Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrazak for providing the the unique opportunity and enabling environment for sporting activities to thrive in the state.
The directors pledged thier total supports and comittments towards making the event successful and glorious.
The traditional rulers in the three visted local Government who endorsed the festival Games wholeheartedly also showered thier royal blessings and prayers on the MOC Members.
The monarchs however called Kwara state governor, Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrazak to construct mini stadia in the local governments to arouse the interest of their youth in partaking in sporting activities.
Unexpectedly, the Alofa of lloffa, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Olaniyi displayed the sprit of Sportsmanship when he excused the commitee Members to change his royal attires to sports wears before he delivered welcome address.
