The Kwara State/FA Sport Showcase Tourney continued on its second day with an exciting lineup of matches at the Kwara State Stadium Complex.
The morning session saw eight teams battle it out on the pitch, with some thrilling performances and nail-biting finishes.
The day began with La Planet FC and KFA playing out a goalless draw, followed by another stalemate between SGFC Athletics and Dolly P. AS Koppan and Abraysports FC shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw, with Sumaila Amadu and Umar Rasaq converting penalties in the 56th and 59th minutes, respectively.
Dohz FC suffered a 3-1 defeat to Star Builders, with Babatunde Amuda scoring the lone goal for Dohz FC in the 13th minute. Adetola Oluwafemi, Kevin Unenge, and Nkwocha Joel scored for Star Builders in the 10th, 12th, and 59th minutes, respectively.
Offa FC and Unicorn FC played out a goalless draw, while Barrier FC and Dickalo FC also ended their match with a scoreless stalemate. Laycon FC and Na Royal FC shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw, with David John scoring a penalty for Laycon FC in the 47th minute and Adam Ibrahim equalizing with a penalty for Na Royal FC in the 50th minute.
The tourney also witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Her Excellency, the First Lady of Kwara State, Mrs. Olufolake Molawa Davies Abdulrazaq, and former England and Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand, who is represented by FA Sport agency.
