Kwara United will be facing AS Douanes in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup in two-legged battles.
This comes after the Confederations of African Football (CAF) conducted the draws on Tuesday afternoon in Cairo, Egypt.
Kwara United finished 4th at the outgone Nigerian Professional Football League season and were picked by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to campaign in the Confederations Cup.
The first leg for the CAF Confederations Cup is between the weekend of 9-11 September in which Kwara United will be at home to host AS Douanes, while the return leg will be the weekend of 16-18.
As things stand now, Kwara State Government will have to speed up process for the Kwara State Stadium to be given green light to host CAF games.
CAF officials will visit the Ilorin stadium for inspection and failure for the ground to meet necessary requirements means that Kwara United will have to find alternative venue to host their home games.
