Kwara United gaffer Coach Dogo reveals Club’s target for Next season

The Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, Kabiru Dogo revealed that his target is to qualify the club for the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League.

Dogo stated this during a media parley between Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter and Kabiru Dogo at the conference hall of Kwara Football Academy (KFA) on Monday.

The former Sunshine Stars gaffer said one of his aspirations is to win the 2025 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Dogo said the management of Kwara United FC gave him the necessary support last season adding that they have also set a road map for the club to excel next season.

He said, “Kwara United FC has what it takes to feature at next season’s CAF Champions League. We have a lot of quality players in the squad capable of making a difference on the African continent. If you look at the statistics of last season, the difference between the winners (Enugu Rangers) is the number of draws we had, which I was not happy with.

“The main objective is to win the title next season and put smiles on the faces of the people of Kwara State. The management of Kwara United FC are doing everything possible to retain some quality players who can make a huge difference in the squad and I must thank them for giving free hands to manage the team”.

He hailed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for supporting the club during trying times in the last two seasons.

He said, “Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been one of my biggest supporters since I came for the rescue mission two seasons ago. The Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Mogaji always delivers the messages of the Governor during their matches.

“I want to thank the people of Kwara, the supporters of Kwara United FC, the FA Chairman, Idris Abdullahi (Thuraya) and my community for their encouragement and support”.

Dogo noted that the club will continue giving indigenous players the opportunity to thrive.
