Kwara United midfielder Mohammed Ibrahim Alao will be sidelined for three months after undergoing surgery on his thigh, according to Coach Tunde Sanni, Owosports.com.ng reports.
Alao, who played a crucial role in the team’s relegation survival last season, will miss a stretch of matches for the club this term.
Coach Sanni revealed that Alao’s surgery took place on Saturday and that he will need more than two months to recover.
“Mohammed Alao was operated on Saturday, he has problems with his thigh and it will take him more than two months plus before he would return,” Sanni explained.
In addition to Alao’s injury, striker Wasiu Alalade and experienced player Isa Gata are also nursing injuries, further depleting the team’s squad. Coach Sanni will need to rely on his squad’s depth and tactical expertise to navigate this challenging period.
