In a bid to further fortify them with modern knowledge of the game of football, the management of La Planet Sports Academia has sponsored four of its Coaches to NLO/ Berackiah Coaching Clinic.
The four coaches namely;
Jimoh sheriff, Bayo Bello,Ibrahim Abdulrasheed and Johnson Yiolokun were part of the participants of the 5-day football coaching clinic in Ilorin.
Held at Kwara State Stadium Complex, the clinic was organised by NLO and Berackiah International in a bid to further impart the Nationwide League One(NLO) coaches with new trends of the dug out business.
The move to sponsor the Coaches was also necessitated by the directives of NLO that coaches must possess at least certificates from the clinic to qualify as a tutor of any side campaigning in the league.
Speaking on behalf of the Coaches, the head Coach of the Academy, Coach Sheriff Jimoh thanked the management for their support over the development of the coaches.
He stated that the clinic had in no small measure widened their scope of understanding of their job and will in turn have a multiple effects on the players and the development of the Academy.
“We really appreciate the management of the Academy for their support and for sponsoring us to the clinic. I want to promise them that we are going to keep doing our best, and I believe the knowledge we have gained will add value to our game” he said.
La Planet Sports Academia will participate in the division 2 of this year’s Nationwide League One (NLO) season.
The football Academy is reputed for winning one of the most prominent pre-season tournaments in the country, Amapro football championship in 2020.
In 2021, the Academy won Kwara State Football Association Super League, AGF Abdulrazaq Cup and YSFON U-17 football competiton.
While one of its product, Abdulgafar Opeyemi is currently plying his trade with FK Kauno Zalgris, a Liuthania based elite league side, another graduate of the Academy, Abdulganiyu Suleiman is plying his trade with ABS Ilorin FC.
