Leicester City has scheduled a medical for Caleb Okoli, a 22-year-old centre-back from Atalanta, according to transfer reports.
The Italian club will receive €15 million, including add-ons, for the defender who was once a part of their rotation team but was loaned out to Frosinone last season.
The Nigerian decent, Okoli who has played for Italy U21 has 14 appearances for the Azzurrini and has been a product of Atalanta and Vincenza Academies.
Despite his potential, Atalanta is selling him outright, a move that has raised eyebrows considering his age and abilities.
The transfer is expected to be finalized soon, with Okoli set to join Leicester City’s squad for the upcoming season.
