English Premiership heavy weight Manchester City have reportedly emerged as favourites to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
Due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, it was been widely understood that Napoli are prepared to cash on the highly-regarded Senegalese centre-back.
The Senegalese International who is valued at £90m have however been previously linked with a move to recent Premier League champions Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to Il Mattino, owosports.com understands that Koulibaly favours a switch to the Etihad Stadium in order to play under Pep Guardiola.
The report claims that the two clubs are prepared to offer £72m, with Koulibaly penning a contract until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
