Technical Adviser of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS Ilorin FC), Coach Sani Ahmed Sarduana has praised the Nigeria National League (NNL) Coaches and Media Managers Workshop recently concluded in Ikenne, describing it as “marvellous.”
The workshop which was held from Monday 28th – 31st Thursday, 2024, brought together coaches and media managers from various NNL clubs, providing a platform for networking, learning, and strategy development.
“This workshop has been marvellous,” Coach Sarduana exclaimed. “It has been an outstanding workshop; the environment, the synergy here has been fantastic. The facilities I have seen here, both from where the workshop is taking place and the pitches, and the resources, persons that have come and have impacted hugely on us, and I will try to transfer to the players for a better performance.”
Coach Sarduana commended the league body for organizing the workshop. “It was an amazing initiative from the league body; it gave us the opportunity to bond with our colleagues. Most of them are my seniors; most of us played together, and we have elite coaches like Abdul Maikaba and Coach Bala Nikyu, top coaches that have coached in the NPFL and various national teams, are all here.”
One key takeaway from the workshop, according to Coach Sarduana, is the importance of coaches showing precedence, personality, and sportsmanship. “The thing we’ve learnt from the workshop is that, as coaches, we must show precedence, personality before, during, and after the game. We are being told that whatever the outcome of the game is, we’ve been taught that we should embrace each other.”
With the NNL season approaching, Coach Sarduana’s positive experience at the workshop sets the stage for a thrilling and sportsmanlike competition.
