Meet Kwara United new Goalkeeper Trainer,Suleiman Shuaib
Coach Suleiman Shuaib has reportedly been hired by Kwara United to the lead the club goalkeeping department.
Shuaib,who also hails from Kwara State last worked for Abia Warriors and is the current goalkeeper trainer of the Nigeria National U23 team also known as CHAN Eagles.
Highly exposed with decades of experience, the gaffer who holds both CAF B and C licenses is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the camp of Harmony boys especially as they prepare for their continental engagements and the NPFL new season.
Shaibu among many other Premiership clubs, worked for the likes of Jigawa Golden star of Dutse (2006-2010); Enyimba International of Aba (2010-2014); Rangers International of Enugu(2015-2017); El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri (2017-2018) and presently Abia Warriors of Umuahia (2020- Date).
While he has also attended the FIFA MA goalkeeping course among others.He was a goalkeeper trainer of the National U-17 team (2008-2009), National U-20 team(2010-2012; 2018-2022
Shuaib was a member of the all the conquering National U.20 team (Flying Eagles)that won the African Youth Championship in 1985 and has on different occasions helped in promoting Katsina United in 1995, Wikki Tourists in 1997, and Jigawa Golden stars in 2007 to the Elite division of Nigeria league.
Kwara United has recently bolstered their Goalkeeping department with the signing of former Akwa United safe hand, Adewale Adeyinka and Adeniyi Bamidele of Rangers.
