Rivers United duo, Anaemena Ifeanyi and Enyinnaya Kazie have both arrived the Super Eagles camp in Abuja, ahead of the
International friendly against Mexico in Los Angeles, California on July 3rd 2021, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The pair who are the early to arrive where captured in the team’s Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye Abuja on Tuesday night.

Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday mapped out a list of 25 home-base stars to begin training ahead of the International friendly against Mexico, the list will however be trimmed down to 22 which will be the final list to travel to the United States.
www.owosports.com.ng caught up with Rivers United defender Ifeanyi Anemena via the telephone immediately after we learnt of his arrival to the team’s camp, as he expressed his excitement and readiness for the encounter.
“I feel very excited for the call-up I have long waited for it, I thank God for this opportunity that came,” He said.

Anemena believes the game will help explore the talent and experience of the homebase players stressing that it is also a perfect platform to prepare for the Chan qualifiers.
“The game is a very good one trying to explore the experience of the NPFL players going all the way to USA to play Mexico, it’s going to be a good outing for the NPFL players and for the Super Eagles, it also a great platform for us to prepare for CHAN,” He added.

Ifeanyi Anemena first Super Eagles call up came in November 2019 in the double header African cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin republic and Lesotho, Nigeria won both games 2-1, 4-2 respectively.
This will be the sixth meeting between both teams, the previous five have witnessed four draws with Mexico picking up the only victory which was a 2-1 win in the US Gold Cup in Dallas (State of
Texas) on 24th June 1995.
