Chairman, Technical, Mighty Jets International Football Club of Jos, Isaac Salami, has exonerated Mighty Jets players and technical crew, saying the club’s last minute lost at away should not be heaped at the door step of the players but the officiating officials are to be blamed.

Isaac Salami, in his words: “Mighty Jets conceding late penalty goals at away is due to bad officiating by some corrupt referees who want to tarnish the good image of NNL,hence, the attention of NRA,NNF & NNL has been drawn to that effect and recently there was petition from about 12 clubs threatening to withdraw from the league if nothing is not done fast as regards poor and dubious officiating in the league.

He went further to maintain his stance that Mighty Jets will fulfil that dream of returning back to where they belong, which is the NPFL.
” We in Mighty Jets believe in moving ahead and keeping focus,we are not weighed down by any negative challenges or experience we face, we just concentrate on our target and goals for the season.

He concluded: “The league is still open & games are on and we are going getting tougher we are still on the pursuit to playoffs and we are hopeful if there will be positive changes in officiating I believe we have the team that can take us there.”

It would be recalled that Mighty Jets International fc lost 0-1 at away to the trio of NAF Rockets, Rarara fc and Green Berets fc in the last minute via penalty.

Mighty Jets, placed 7th on the log with 7pts from 6 matches played, will host FC Taraba, placed 3rd on the log with 14pts from 8 matches played, today at the Jos New Stadium by 4pm.
