The Minister of Youth and Sports development, Hon. Sunday Dare has applauded the decision of the Federal Government to withdraw the exclusive rights of DSTV as the only Television Network to broadcast Sports activities.
The Minister in a series of tweets on his official twitter handle commended the FG for the courage to effect such a positive response to the yearnings of millions sports enthusiast who have for long waited to at least catch a glimpse of Sports activities taking place around the country.
“I applaud the decision of the Federal Government as conveyed by the Information Ministry to prohibit exclusivity rights in Sports broadcasting.
He described the new regulations as boost for local contents which has for long been rolling without getting its deserved importance.
“This decision is a positive one for our sports development and will spur content production, investment and boost the business of sports”, Hon. Sunday Dare tweeted.
