MK Usman Zonal Cup: Draws Hold Tommorow As Competition Starts On Monday

The draws for the first edition of Alhaji MK Usman Zonal Football Championship will hold tomorrow,19th January, 2020.

This development was contained in a statement released by the Local Organising Committe of the Championship in the early hour of today.

Recall that an inaugural meeting for the Championship was held on 4th January where all the Football Council Chairmen from Niger South Senatorial District deliberated with the purpose of charting a feasible way for the success of the novel Championship.

The featuring event is expected to serve as a medium where all the teams participating in the tourney will be briefed on the rules and regulations guiding the tourney and extensively with the explanation of the new rules of the game which are going to be obtainable during the course of the Championship.

“The draw event will serve as a platform where all the teams will be briefed on the rules and regulations of the tournament and extensively on the new laws of the game”

It was said that all the 9 teams comprising of the local governments and the contingent of the host town Kudu, Captains and Coaches are expected to be in the event.

The draws according to the statement released by the LOC will hold 8pm tomorrow at Kusopa Township Hall ,Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State and will be conducted under the auspices of the Alhaji Yabagi A Baba and all the Football Council Chairmen across the Zone.

Some of the dignitaries expected to grace the event are the Village Head of Kudu, (Etsu Yankpa Alhaji Hassan Tswankwa, the sponsor of the tournament,Alhaji Mohammed Kudu Usman and the Chairman Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State,Alhaji Sheti Yakubu.

It may interests you to know that the tourney was last played on local government level and is witnessing a scope expansion to Zonal level for the first time this year.

The Championship which is expected to commence on Monday,20th January of course is the first of its kind in the Niger State South Senatorial District , the part of the State which is predominantly occupied by Nupes.
