Former Nigerian international, Mutiu Adepoju, has categorically denied rumors that he is interested in becoming the head coach of the Super Eagles.
In an exclusive chat with OwoSports, Adepoju, fondly called the “Headmaster”, emphatically stated that he never granted any interview or expressed his consent to anyone about his interest in the position.
Contrary to reports circulating in the Nigerian media, Adepoju clarified that he never applied for the job and is not considering the role. “It’s not true. I never applied and I never told anybody I was interested,” Adepoju told OwoSports.
This development comes as a surprise to many, given Adepoju’s UEFA coaching license and his experience as a former player. However, it seems the rumors were unfounded, and Adepoju has put the record straight.
