Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan forward, Gafar Olafimihan, said his team will go all out for victory over Niger Tornadoes in Wednesday’s NPFL maychday seven game, billed for the M.K.O Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

Coming from last Sunday’s disappointing 2-2 home draw against Sunshine Stars, which drew the anger of their supporters, the Oluyole Warriors face the Minna based side in a match they need to win to win back the heart of their fans.

Apparently aware of the importance of a positive outcome from this encounter, Olafimihan, who opened his NPFL goal account with Shooting Stars’ first goal in the game against Sunshine Stars, declared that he and his teammates were fully prepared to give it all it takes to secure the three points in Wednesday’s fixture.

“For us, the match against Tornadoes is a must win match. It is a match we have resolved to win in order to appease our fans for that disappoinring draw against Sunshine Stars.

“We are not happy with our position on the table going into this match and we are ready to force our way up the ladder, beginning with a win against Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday”, stated the former Osun United striker who, though expressed joy, he was able to break his Goal drought, felt sad that his effort was not good enough to give his team the maximum points in the matchday six tie.

Both Shooting Stars and Niger Tornadoes have scores to settle, having recently met twice with victories going either way.

During the final of the NNL Super Eight played in Enugu, Tornadoes emerged 3-2 victors but the Oluyole Warriors took their pound of flesh by emerging 1-0 winners, courtesy of Wellingnton Ebhiahi’ effort, when both sides met in a group game of the Taiwo Ogunjobi Gold Cup Pre Season Tourney, played at the FC Ebedei Stadium, Sagamu.

The coach Edith Agoye tutored 3SC will fancy their chances of picking their first win on the road, hoping to take advantage of the fact that the match is holding on a neutral ground.

The host will definitely put up a good to fight to begin life at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, where they were banished to for their next three home games, starting from Wednesday’s tie, on a good note.

However, facing a victory thirsty Shooting Stars at this point in time could make their dream unrealisable as the Ibadan soccer lords,.confidenrly look forward to getting a positive result so as to win back the confidence of their backers.
