Following the long wait an anticipation of the commencement of the NPFL season, the League Management Company (LMC) have today announced December 6th as kickoff date for the NPFL 2020/2021 season, Owosports reports.
The opening week fixtures of the 2020/2021 Nigeria professional football league will see an interesting oriental derby between 2019 title holders, The People’s Elephant Enyimba welcoming the Ochendo Babes to the Aba township staduim, while Rivers United will lock horns with Rangers International in another oriental derby.
The Ibom derby will see Akwa United go head to head with city neighbor’s Dakkada United at the Godswill Akpabio Staduim Uyo, another interesting fixtures to look out for will be in Lagos where the Olukoya Boys at the Teslim Balogun stadium will play host to The Seasiders, Warri Wolves after the Agege stadium was amongst the Stadium marked for upgrade.
