Newly appointed Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi is confidence that they will have a good outing when they take on Canadian women’s football team in the first of the double header friendly match in the early hours of Saturday Morning, Owosports.com.ng reports.

The 38-year-old Ebi speaking in an interview from the team’s base in Vancouver believed it going to be a very tough game between the Olympics champions and the African champions.

”Like we all know, today is going to be a very tough game, like African champions playing against Olympics champions, you know what that means,”

“I believe you guys will stay tuned to your to your tv, or your laptop or your phone to watch the game because the game is going to be tough and strong”, she said.

“I believe and trust my girls that we’re going to go all out to make sure today is our day.”

The reigning African champions are using the two games to prepare for this year’s CAF women’s AFCON in Morocco in July.

The Women’s AFCON also doubles as the qualifiers for the 2023 Women’s Worldcup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

This will be the fourth meeting between the Super Falcons and Canadian women’s team since their first encounter in the group stage of the Worldcup in Sweden.
