Nigerian natives Yusuf Otubanjo and Mathias Oyewusi were both at the opposite end for their respective clubs in the game between Pyunik and FK Zalgiris in Matchday three of group H in the UEFA Conference on Thursday night.

Yusuf Otubanjo continued his goal scoring run when he connected with a sweet cross from Hovhannes Harutyunyan finishing with a header into the right side of the goal just after the hour mark to put his name on the scoresheet.

The 30-year-old forward who featured for 86 minutes at the Republican Stadium has now scored in four straight games now, having his name in the scoreboard against Slovan Bratislava in the UEFACL Matchday two with Urartu and Alashkert in the League respectively.

Mathias Oyewusi was at the opposite end of the game playing the entire match as his side FK Zalgiris lost on the night.

The 23-year-old striker who put on the number 99 Jersey on the night hardly had a sniff on goal as he was held quiet by the Pyunik Defence having previously scored the winner at extra time for his club in the Lithuanian cup semi finals againts rivals Kauno Zalgiris last Saturday.

Armenian club Pyunik came out on top with a two goal victory against Lithuania Champions FK Zalgiris courtesy of Brazilian Juninho and Nigerian Yusuf Otubanjo to give Pyunik their second group stage win in three games.

Both teams face off in the return leg in Lithuania next Thursday with FK Zalgiris needing a win to shake off their poor start in the group.
