Kwibuka Women’s T20 International Tournament: Team Nigeria departs for Kigali

The Nigeria Cricket Federation has announced the 14-player squad that will represent the nation at the Kwibuka Women’s T20 International Tournamen, set to take place from 30th May to 8th June 2024.

 

This prestigious event, held annually to commemorate the victims of the Rwandan genocide, brings together women’s cricket teams from various nations in a celebration of unity and sportsmanship.

 

Leading the Nigerian side will be the dynamic and experienced Favour Eseigbe, who has been named captain, supporting Favour in her leadership role is the talented vice-captain, Abigail Igbobie.

 

A notable inclusion in the squad is Anointed Akhigbe, Anointed’s selection marks her debut in the national team.
