Cornerstone Football Club have picked the sole ticket from the Ilorin center of the 2022 Nationwide League One Division Two season after they edge Able God FC 2-1 on aggregate in a two legged affair.
Four teams where expected to participate in Ilorin but two pulled out with no reason given as the other teams Cornerstone FC and Able God FC been made to carry on in a two legged encounter which went down on Sunday May 22nd and Monday May 23rd 2022 with Cornerstone FC going through after they beat Able God FC in the first leg 2-1 with the second tie ending 0-0 as Cornerstone FC went through 2-1 on aggregate.

Reacting afterwards was the coordinator of Ilorin center Mr, Fasansi Abideen who applauded the NLO secretariat aswell as the officials who ensured that there was fairness in their officiating in both games.
“Both teams gave in their best they’ve done well and I feel the match was won in the first leg with Cornerstone FC putting in a much better performance to win that match and today they came out to ensure that they go through”, Fasansi Abideen stated.

“Officiating was okay and very fair in both matches I was available, I saw both games through out ninety minutes.
Four teams where expected in Ilorin for the showdown but two didn’t show up, the Coordinator reacting however stated that they will follow the rule books on what punishment to be vented on both teams who failed to show up in the Center designated to them.
“On the issue of team’s that didn’t show up, the rule is there to guide us on what to do so to say because as at the time we left the secretariat there was no pre-notice that they will not be showing up so it was a disappointing one from them so we will apply the rules on them”.
Fasasi applauded the NLO secretariat for the amazing job done so far, as well as the referees who ensured the officiating was free and fair, and the Kwara Football Association (KFA) following the successful conclusion of the Ilorin center.

“What we had here was to balance up the officiating because there is no home or away team but the officials are from Kwara, the teams are from different states they are neutral this where the arrangements we put in place at the secretariat to ensure fairness in the officiating, as regards the Ilorin center which has just been concluded I would say that the NLO secretariat has done exceptionally well”, he concluded.
Cornerstone FC will await the winner of the Ekiti center to ascertain who qualifies to the higher division of the Nationwide league one NLO Division.
