Team Manager of Gidado Football club Funsho Suliaman Muhammed has expressed excitement after his team recorded their first win against SGFC Athletics in the ongoing Nationwide league.
Gidado FC having accumulated just one point from two matches following their opening day defeat and a draw at home in the second game recorded a one nil victory over SGFC Athletics thanks to Isaac Edeth fifth minutes penalty which proved vital at full time.
“It was a good game for both teams, we got an early lead and we were able to control till the end and got the important win so I’m happy”,He said to Journalist.
“It was a good win for us because we worked for it, we lost our first game drew the second and now we’ve gotten a win here on the road it’s a very great opportunity for us because it will keep us on a better position on the table.” He concluded.
Funsho is hopeful of keeping the momentum going as he aims for victory when they play host to FC Ebedei next week.
