La Planet Sport Academia will be rolling out its aces as they set out for their debut season in the division two of the Nationwide League One (NLO) billed to hold from May 22 through to 28th of the same month.
The team will be campaigning at the Ado-Ekiti centre of the league with all matches billed for Olukayode Fayemi Stadium in the capital city of the ‘fountain of Knowledge’ State.
Speaking to newsmen after touching down Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, the Technical Adviser of the team, Coach Sheriff Jimoh stated that his boys are in high Spirit ahead of the league even as he demands total concentration from them.
“We are ready for the league. The boys are in high spirit even though it’s the first time for some of them to play at this stage. We will approach all the games with determination and purpose”. he quipped.
The tactician who added that his ultimate target is to promote the team to the first division of the league commended the management for their efforts and promised that the Technical crew under his watch will do everything possible to deliver the ticket.
La Planet ,who are drawn alongside two other Kwara-based teams; Injector FC and Barrier Football Academy will also have a battle date with other four teams from Osun State; Alaska FC/Academy, Victory Police FC, Ijesha Warriors and Karamba FC all in the same centre.
Draws and Fixtures for the 7-day action packed football league are expected to be made on Sunday with all the Seven teams billed for the centre in attendance.
The football outfit is reputed for winning one of the most prominent pre-season tournaments in the country, Amapro football championship in 2020.In 2021, the Academy won Kwara State Football Association Super League, AGF Abdulrazaq Cup and YSFON U-17 football competiton.
