The Management of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has extended the commencement of the 2019/2020 season by 21 days.

The development means the nation’s second tier league season will no longer kick off Friday 1st of November but 22.

This decision was taken after due consultation with stakeholders to enable certain logistics to be ready for the kick off.

According to our source the shift in date was to enable all teams in the NNL to complete their players registration formalities for the new season.

Recall early today (Thursday) there was a report indicting that the NNL secretariat had rejected the call by the Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers to have the season postponed to a new date.
