Saheed Lasisi has been appointed Remo Stars’ captain by Daniel Ogunmodede ahead of the upcoming 2019/2020 campaign.
The Former Assistant Captain replaces Cultured Striker, Victor Mbaoma Shuji who is now with Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Enyimba Football Club.
Former Remo Stars Under U17 defender, Nduka Junior and newly recruited Tiyamiyu Kazeem have also been named as the club’s vice-captain one and two respectively.
New Captain of the Sky Blue Stars, Saheed Lasisi admitted being named captain is one of the proudest moments of his career.
Speaking to RSFC Press, he said: “It’s definitely a proud moment in my career. I’ve had some good moments up until now and this certainly ranks very high.
“To be the captain of such a huge club like Remo Stars FC is a great personal achievement.”
In a chat with the Head Coach of Remo Stars, Daniel Ogunmodede said he appointed Saheed Lasisi the new Captain because of his commitment to the club since he assumed duties to lead the team.
“He has been a dedicated player, his zeal and hard work is topnotch. He is really committed to training duties and I believe he will lead the team in the right direction.”
