As the NNL campaign 2020/2021 will continue across all the match centres in the country this weekend, the league body has officially withdrawn Aklosendi International FC of Lafia.
This development was contained in the ‘NNL news snippets’ posted on its official media platforms at the early hours of Friday.
The management premised its decision on the failure of the team to honor two consecutive games in line with the article 14.11 of the league framework.
“Aklosendi Int’l FC has been withdrawn from the 2020-2021 Season for failing to honour two consecutive games.This is in line with article 14.11” the statement reads.
It further noted that all matches involving Aklosendi played and unplayed have now been cancelled according to the rule book.
The withdrawal of Aklosendi who are in group A1 of the Northern conference of the league ha now reduced the number of the participants in the league to 45.
